Only flaw in two months.. and not serious, says Trump

WICKED GLITCH OF THE WEST WING

A SHOCKING security cock-up by top US cabinet members including Vice President JD Vance was dismissed as "the only glitch in two months" by Donald Trump last night.

Vance and Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth were part of an extraordinary online chat that boasted about confidential military attack plans after unwittingly inviting a journalist into the group.

The pair also revealed the Trump White House's disdain for America's European allies, branding them "pathetic".

Shocked observers described the actions of those in charge of US national security as "amateur hour." President Trump said the chat revelations about an attack in Yemen was "the only glitch in two months, and it turned out not to be a serious one".

However US relations with its allies are under severe scrutiny after several of the President's top aides were found to have criticised "freeloading Europe" in the secret chat.

As calls grew for those responsible to be fired, President Trump instead attacked Atlantic magazine editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg, who was to his surprise invited into the chat.

Trump called the journalist "a sleazeball" and said his presence on the chat had "no impact at all".

Asked how Goldberg was added to it, Trump said that one of National Security Adviser Mike Waltz's staffers "had his number on there".
