Virgil admits Kop face battle to keep crown

VIRGIL VAN DIJK has admitted Liverpool have a fight on their hands to retain their Premier League crown.

The defending champions started the season well, but two consecutive defeats have left them trailing Arsenal at the top of the table.

Liverpool won the title in 2020, earning 99 points, 18 more than second-placed Manchester City but Pep Guardiola's side regained the title the following season, with Liverpool a distant third.
