ENGLAND head coach Sarina Wiegman joked the Lionesses have been practising penalties “for hours" ahead of their semifinal showdown against Italy tonight.

In the previous round England came from 2-0 down to force extra-time against Sweden, before scraping through 3-2 on penalties despite missing four spot-kicks.

And with the prize for victory tonight a place in the Euros final for the defending champions, Wiegman insisted nothing has been left to chance — even though she is praying her players get the job done in 90 minutes this time.
