'Walter Mitty' fraudster, 51, avoids jail over scam

A “WALTER Mitty” fraudster who carried out an investment scam involving 10 victims was handed a suspended sentence yesterday.
Ryan Timothy O'Kane, from Tamlaght Road in Omagh, had a 20-month sentence imposed which was suspended for two years by Judge Richard Greene KC.
The 51-year old pleaded guilty to 21 charges of fraud by abuse of position and three charges of converting criminal property.
