Emery's on cloud nine as Villans hit four for first time this season & Martinez saves from the spot

- BY SUNNY BADWAL

IN the end, it was a Sunday afternoon cruise.

And as his Aston Villa side turned on the style, Unai Emery maintained an impressive record.

Emery has now faced Bournemouth nine times in his managerial career - and never lost.

This triumph was his seventh - along with two draws - against a Cherries side who began the day with the chance of ending it in second place in the Premier League.

But now they are looking up at Villa in the table as goals from Emiliano Buendia, Amadou Onana, Ross Barkley and Donyell Malen secured victory on an afternoon when Emiliano Martinez's penalty save at 2-0 ensured there was no Bournemouth comeback.

Villa had only scored nine goals in the league coming into the match, but put their woes to bed to dispatch Andoni Iraola's below-par Cherries with ease.

Buendia's sublime free-kick put them on track for a fifth win from six before Onana's cracker from range doubled their lead.
