Newcastle midfielder keeping his options open
SANDRO TONALI has admitted he is taking his Newcastle future season by season after it emerged he signed a contract extension at the club back in 2023.
The midfield star insisted he is happy on Tyneside but referenced Alexander Isak’s summer move to Liverpool as an example of how things can change.
The Italy international is now under contract at St James’ Park until the summer of 2029, although the Magpies have the option to extend the deal by a further year.
Eddie Howe (inset) revealed a couple of weeks ago that he would love to tie down Tonali to fresh terms at Newcastle to further cement his future on Tyneside.
