Newcastle last night took on Leeds United at St James' Park in the Premier League and Keegan's former team-mate and friend John Anderson said at the game: "It's not the news you were expecting to hear and I'm sure every Newcastle United fan sends him all their love and best wishes.

SOCCER icon Kevin Keegan has been diagnosed with cancer, his family has announced.
Keegan, 74, who turned out for Liverpool, Hamburg and Newcastle among others during his playing career, was admitted to hospital due to “ongoing abdominal symptoms”, a statement said.
