EOIN Cadogan says Cork deserve a lot of credit for not falling into the self-pity trap after getting thumped by Limerick in the Munster group stage.
At that point, the Rebels were staring at an early season Championship exit had they lost their final game of the round-robin to Waterford.
Instead they rallied, beating the Deise by six points before turning a 16-point loss to Limerick in round 4 into a penalty shoot out win in the Munster final.
Cadogan said: "With Limerick, there was a lot of anger built up from last year and that reflected in their performance.
"I don't think anyone could have gone out in front of that Limerick group, if they performed that way I think it would have got a similar result. I think everything they did that day was off the charts, the scoring, the support play, the passing.
