Opposition TDs march out over speaking slot
SINN Fein, Labour and Independent Ireland staged a Dail walkout yesterday over a new speaking slot for Michael Lowry and other Government-backing TDs.
Labour whip Duncan Smith told The Star this would not be the last protest during this time slot.
Cian O'Callaghan said the Social Democrats did not participate out of choice.
The opposition parties have been fighting Government proposals to introduce a new slot called Other Members' Questions.
