Harris slammed for 'disgraceful' migration remark

TANAISTE Simon Harris has been compared to Nigel Farage as his comments on immigration have been slammed as “disgraceful” and “extremely dangerous”.

The Fine Gael leader said the asylum system is not working and that migration numbers are “too high”.

Speaking on Wednesday, he said: “We have to listen to the people of this country, who I believe are saying to us we used to live in a country where 2,000 to 3,000 people sought international protection each year.
