SCIENTISTS GETTING ON THEIR SOAPBOX

DUBLIN has always loved to celebrate its artists and writers.

But this Bloomsday weekend, in the shadow of Luke Kelly's statue, it's the turn of the nerds!

Proving the capital has brains as well as beauty, a group of "soapbox scientists" will be spreading the gospel of research on the streets.

The free event will feature street lectures on anything from DNA to helping whiskey beat stress as 12 scientists take their knowledge busking.
