Mcllroy won't object to Trump hosting Irish Open

- BY MICHAEL SCULLY

RORY Mcllroy insists he would have no problem with playing Donald Trump's Doonbeg links course if the Amgen Irish Open takes place there in 2026.

With the tournament being played at the K Club this week and again in 2027, there has been no confirmation of which venue will host the event next year.

Trump's controversial US presidency is likely to draw protesters to the picturesque west Clare venue if the DP World Tour approve the venue for the 2026 national Open.
