Meanwhile, the research also highlights the test centres that are best avoided due to lower pass rates and longer waiting times.

Tallaght in Dublin is rated as the worst in the country, with a pass rate of just 42% but a waiting time of over 24 weeks.

Charlestown in Dublin has the lowest pass rate in the country at over 36%, but has a much shorter waiting time of just 16 weeks.

Other areas with low pass rates include Wilton in Co Cork, Longford town, Athlone and Finglas in Dublin.

The study also highlights the best months in which to take your test, with January coming out as the best month with a pass rate of 53% and a waiting time of 15.9 weeks.
