Radiographer found guilty of misconduct is banned for year

A RADIOGRAPHER who was found guilty of professional misconduct in carrying out a chest X-ray on a teenage patient whom he later tried to contact via social media has received a ban.

Radiographer Adrian Peconcillo is prohibited for 12 months from carrying out X-rays on children and adolescents apart from exceptional circumstances and then only under the supervision of a healthcare practitioner.

That's one of five conditions imposed on the registration of the radiographer by CORU - the regulatory body of health and social care professionals.
