I'M in the Final Demand camp for today's opener, the Turners Novices' Hurdle, as he goes up against The New Lion.

POPULAR DEMAND

I was very impressed with him at the Dublin Racing Festival and I expect him to follow up here in the race that Ballyburn won last year.

The New Lion has done nothing wrong, but the races he has been winning are of a lesser standard than the ones Final Demand and The Yellow Clay have been running in.

I think the two of them could be better than Dan Skelton's runner.

JONBON should get his day in the sun by winning the Queen Mother Champion Chase.

The ground drying out is completely against Energumene, who is a better horse on soft ground.

Champion Captain Guinness has been out of sorts this season, but he could bounce back to form as he's a better horse in the spring time.
