PATRICK MCCLEAN admits he never should have left Sligo Rovers but now he is ready to make up for lost time.
Sligo Rovers v Galway Utd The Showgrounds, 7.45pm
The defender is moving back to the Showgrounds after a spell with Glentoran, with his transfer official once the window opens on July 1.
McClean (28) left Sligo for Derry City in 2019 and then moved on to the Irish League.
He said of his return to the northwest: "It happened quite quickly, really. I spoke to John (Russell, inset) about a month ago on the phone and he said he was interested and I took some time to think about it after everything.
