CHELSEA are ready to take a punt on Liam Rosenior after the Stamford Bridge club ran out of patience with Enzo Maresca.

The Blues pulled the trigger after two days of intense talks between the Italian's representatives and senior officials at the club.

Chelsea have said publicly they wanted to “make a change” to get the club’s season “back on track”, but the word from Maresca’s camp is that he had also decided to quit after a breakdown in relations with his employers.
