ANDY ROBERTSON has confirmed he is yet to open talks with Liverpool over a new contract.

And the Scotland skipper admits the subject of his future will start “taking over his life” in the coming months.

Robertson is free to speak to clubs outside of England from January 1 about a pre-contract agreement and has not yet started discussions with Anfield chiefs about new terms.

He was the subject of interest from Atletico Madrid in the summer following Liverpool's £40million capture of Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth, but stayed put to fight for his place.

Robertson has now started the last four games for Kop boss Arne Slot - including the 1-0 win over Real Madrid in the Champions League - and the last fortnight has reaffirmed his importance to the Anfield cause.
