Brave scoliosis boy waits on tests to see if he has digestive disorder

- BY SEAN MURPHY

HOPES for scoliosis patient Noah Quish to travel for vital treatment in America have been dashed after doctors diagnosed a new complication.

Noah, 8, has already been diagnosed with a heart condition, severe obstructive Laryngomalacia, scoliosis, malformation of the brain, severe sleep apnoea, a chromosome deletion, meningitis, and autism.

The Limerick schoolboy is now waiting for biopsy tests to confirm a suspected diagnosis of digestive disease Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE), which is chronic inflammation of the esophagus.

It means that little Noah's return to hospital in Boston this summer for more medical treatment has been postponed.
