IT WAS one giant leap for the conspiracy theory industry.

Taking on one of the most extraordinary chapters from human history and dismissing that it ever happened.

It had to be a preposterous fake, the whole thing staged on a Hollywood backlot.

How could something so stupendous and miraculous have been achieved on a barren rock in such a remote part of the solar system?

It didn't seem like her first tinfoil hat rodeo either. She came to the argument armed with two damning exhibits.

Sure hadn't the sole surviving astronaut from the Apollo 11 “landing” admitted it was all made up?

That would be Buzz Aldrin, a man who has spent the last 60 years telling anyone who will listen what it was like when he and Neil Armstrong walked on the moon.

He once even punched a conspiracy theorist who called it all fake to his face.
