Arms race points to bleak future

AFTER two years of nonstop bloodshed and misery, efforts are underway to bring peace to Gaza.

But if a war-weary world thought the horrors that have unfolded there might move us away from militaristic rhetoric and violence, then we can sadly think again.

It was only last month that London hosted the world’s biggest arms fair to showcase the weapons that cause such widespread death and destruction.
