2026 dominated by global warring, says Nostradamus

THE 16th-century astrologer Nostradamus is believed to have prophesied troubling global developments for 2026, including political turmoil and a resurgence of tensions between Eastern and Western powers.

Yet there's a silver lining to these forecasts, as the French mystic's visions also suggest a possible era of renewal and a fresh perspective on global affairs.

Michel de Nostredame, whose volume Les Propheties appeared in 1555, is credited with foreseeing significant historical moments, including the September 11 attacks, the tragic demise of Princess Diana, and the recent Covid-19 outbreak.

His writings, comprising 942 prophetic verses presented as poetry, are composed in an enigmatic blend of archaic Latin expressions and medieval French, making interpretation challenging.

A particular verse from Nostradamus, designated 1:26, reads: "The great swarm of bees will arise... by night the ambush..."
