Irish fashion boss is found dead on yacht after party

Martha, 33, ran own lifestyle brand Carlow native moved to US in 2015

A YOUNG Irish fashion designer has been found dead on a yacht after a party for her own lifestyle brand at a glamorous resort in the US.

Martha Nolan-O'Slatarra, the founder of fashion label East x East, was discovered unconscious at midnight onboard a boat that was docked at the exclusive Montauk Yacht Club in the Hamptons, New York.

Some people rushed out and made attempts to save her life, but East Hampton Town Police later pronounced her dead at the scene.

The 33-year-old - who is originally from Monacurragh, outside Carlow town, but was living in Manhattan - graduated from University College Dublin and later completed a master's degree in digital marketing in Smurfit Business School.
