New survey reveals a drive for climate action

Ireland's youth are going on eco trip

IRISH teens and 20-somethings are feeling the heat - not just from the weather, but from growing worries about the future of their planet.

The latest 2025 Youth Climate Justice Survey has dropped, and it’s sounding the alarm: climate anxiety is climbing fast among Ireland's young people, but their drive to make a difference is stronger than ever.

A staggering 79% of 14 to 29-year-olds across theislandnow say climate change makes them anxious. That's up 9% on last year’s figures.

But they are now fired up in ever increasing numbers to get involved in climate action. Anger about climate change has shot up too, from 54% to 64%, while feelings of hope and confidence have taken a hit.
