'Influencer' vows to pay back cash to Picnic fans

Alleged scammer may have netted six-figure sum

A SOCIAL media “influencer” has vowed to give back thousands of euros which she is alleged to have scammed people out of with fake Electric Picnic tickets.

Yesterday, this paper revealed the social media star, who is well known in the beauty pageant world, was under garda investigation for allegedly scamming dozens of young people into purchasing tickets to the Stradbally festival that she did not have.

The woman was subsequently spoken to by the Garda fraud squad - and is said to be “fully cooperative” with the probe.

Now sources say the young woman - who deleted her social media presence following the revelations, has vowed to give back all of the money which she received from people who believed they were getting tickets to the festival from her.
