HALLGRÍMMSON: WE HAD MORE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THAN HUNGARY

HEIMIR Hallgrímsson was having none of Hungary manager Marco Rossi's postmatch complaints about referee Harm Osmers, and his claim that Saturday night's 2-2 draw resembled a "wrestling match" more than a game of football.

Speaking immediately after the game, Hallgrímsson dismissed Rossi's comments that Evan Ferguson's goal should have been chalked off by VAR, and that Roland Sallai should have been awarded a free-kick moments before his red card challenge on Dara O'Shea.

"I think he was pissed (off) from the 15th minute," said Hallgrímsson in his post-match press conference. "They were kind of time-wasting from the 15th minute, so he can't complain. They were throwing themselves down, lots of minutes with every chance they had.

"And even though the referee gave them a warning, he didn't do the same later on in the game, so he was inconsistent in that sense.
