FSAI's cheese recall due to fears of E.coli

AN URGENT recall has been issued for a batch of cheese sold in Ireland due to the possible presence of an e.coli strain that can cause “severe illness”.

The FSAI has issued a warning about Gillot cru Petit Camembert due to the possible presence of Shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC).

The cheese originated in the Normandy region of France and has a best before date of 26.08.2025.

Anyone who may have purchased the cheese is asked to not eat it.
