DAVID Hanly, the former RTE broadcaster and author, has passed away at the age of 82.

He was best known for his role as a co-presenter on RTE’s Morning Ireland alongside David Davin-Power, who himself passed away in 2024.

Mr Hanly was part of the inaugural broadcast team on November 4, 1984, and remained a key figure on the show for two decades.
