Europa League memory lane for Celts boss

MARTIN O'Neill has already made a mark on this Celtic nostalgia tour with another Old Firm win to add to his collection.

Now he's ready to dig out the Euro greatest hits for another whirl too. O'Neill's place in Hoops hearts doesn't just come from his domestic success. It was forged in Europe.

Celtic had spent 20 years as European no hopers and O'Nell turned the club into continental heavy hitters. Parkhead became a fortress but there were rare away days that have been etched in supporters' memories.

The stand in boss hasn't forgotten either, with images fresh of glory nights on the run to the UEFA Cup Final at the forefront.

O'Neill is gearing up for another adventure against Midtjylland tonight and he said: "Oh, the 2003 games are very, very vivid indeed. Naturally Blackburn Rovers, was a big, big game for us.

"They played very well at Celtic Park and then we go and defeat them.
