Morrison: If it's one up top then Parrott has shown he's the man

- BY EAMON DOGGETT

TROY PARROTT has made himself undroppable for Ireland after his November heroics.

This is the view of former Ireland striker Clinton Morrison, who thinks Evan Ferguson will be playing second fiddle to Parrott come next year's World Cup playoffs.

With Ferguson sidelined through injury, Parrott stole all the headlines last month, scoring five goals in two matches, including a last-gasp winner against Hungary to keep Ireland's World Cup dream alive.

It remains to be seen whether Heimir Hallgrímsson will make room for both strikers for Ireland's semifinal playoff against Czechia in March.

But Morrison believes that whatever way Ireland line up in Prague, Parrott will be leading the line.
