Christmas crimes send us crackers

NEW research has revealed how important festive rituals are to Irish households, with the majority saying it has to be done the “right way”.

And people seem to get most exercised during the festive period by so-called Christmas crimes, with putting decorations up before December 1 a big no-no.

The poll by Return, operator of Ireland's Deposit Return Scheme, found three-quarters (75%) of households debate the “right way" to do Christmas each year, with familiar talking points resurfacing every year.
