Father's tears for his son as Gaza death toll mounts

OVERCOME with grief, a father holds the body of his son - another child victim of Israel's bombardment of Gaza.

Hossam Azzam lost little Amir to an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City this week, as the hellish onslaught continued with no sign of a ceasefire.

At least 30 more Palestinians were killed yesterday, with Gaza’s health system buckling under the strain.

One Israeli attack hit tents sheltering displaced Palestinians in al-Mawasi, southern Gaza ~ previously designated a “safe zone”.

The blast set off a huge fire killing at least five people, including infants.

Five people were killed in an air attack in Jabalia an-Nazla, northern Gaza, along with three people in the Tuffah neighbourhood of Gaza City.
