Amazon axes €300M power failure

A MASSIVE hi-tech €300million factory to be built by Amazon providing over 500 jobs has been scrapped because the State can't guarantee the electricity needed.

The web giant yesterday decided to pull the plug on the entire project at Ballycoolin which would have brought a huge jobs boost to Northwest Dublin and Meath.
Unlike data centres which provide few jobs after construction this facility would have been an AI testing and manufacturing facility with hundreds of employees.
