Cricket legend Warne's son on moment he heard dad had died

CRICKET legend Shane Warne's son has spoken for the first time about the worst phone call of his life, telling him his dad had died.

Jackson Warne said he is finally ready to reflect on the call that made time stand still after the Aussie spin-bowling great died from a heart attack in Thailand at the age of 52 in 2022.

Jackson, 26, said: "Worst phone call of my life - it was James Erskine, Dad's manager. It was in two separate phone calls. The first was, 'He's had a heart attack, it was a massive heart attack and we're trying to see what we can do'.
