NEWCASTLE are hopeful they can finally land a striker by sealing a deal for Brentford's Yoane Wissa.
Toon boss Eddie Howe has seen a host of hitmen slip through his fingers but there is growing confidence on Tyneside a £35million offer will be enough to convince the Bees to part with Wissa.
Brentford have been reluctant to lose both Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo, who has joined Manchester United, in this transfer window.
