The 15 gets a solid A-Plus for battery

've been a OnePlus fanboy for many years, standing by the OG tech upstart even when it made the odd misstep.

The firm's OnePlus 13 flagship released at the start of 2025 in Ireland and Europe was probably both the best value flagship and the most well-rounded OnePlus smartphone ever.On paper, its successor, which ditches the Hasselblad partnership from recent years, has an inferior camera system, with the firm opting instead to emphasise performance and battery life and a new 165Hz refresh rate display that matches dedicated gaming smartphones such as Redmagic 11 Pro.

And while many reviewers have slammed the photography experience, one of the world's most respected YouTube tech reviewers Marques Brownlee still chose the device as his "daily driver" and gave it the Best Battery award in his annual phones of the year video for 2025.

So are you a consumer who would forgive some camera shortcomings if the power of the handset and the battery experience are among the best out there? Let's remind ourselves this phone costs €1,099 for 512GB storage and 16GB RAM compared to, for example, the €1,589 you would pay for superior camera systems with the same storage on the Galaxy S25 Ultra and iPhone 17 Pro.
