Direct Dublin flight may soon take off

A DIRECT flight from Dublin to Shanghai could be on the way, as Ireland is becoming an increasingly popular holiday destination for Chinese tourists.

Taoiseach Micheal Martin rounded out his state visit to China yesterday, with the second half of his trip focusing on business and tourism in Shanghai.

He met with the mayor of the city, Gong Zheng, where both leaders agreed to work on a link to Shanghai from our capital.
