Register of abusers to be made public

A NEW domestic violence register will be available to view by the public, once a victim and a judge decide that an abuser should be named.

However, Justice Minister Jim O'Callaghan confirmed that a person can apply to have their name removed from this register after three years.

The law, which will go to Cabinet in the autumn, will be named Jennie's Law after tragic Jennifer Poole.
