Murtagh's Reyenzi Sounds very classy

CLASSY handicap debutant Reyenzi should continue Johnny Murtagh’s rich vein of form in tomorrow's Naas finale, the TRM Staysound Cooling Clay Handicap.

This lightly-raced son of Saxon Warrior, gelded since his last run in the Group 3 Hampton Court at Royal Ascot in June, drops into handicap company off a mark of 102 but should be capable of registering his second success.

Reyenzi made his debut at this track last September, shaping with promise - despite a tardy start - when chasing home Call Me Captain in a seven-furlong maiden.

Murtagh’s charge reappeared in a mile-and-a-quarter Navan maiden in April and produced an impressive display, forging clear to beat subsequent Ulster Derby winner Vorfreude.
