VENUE Turnberry in Scotland and US president Donald Trump
R&A TOP brass met with US president Donald Trump's son to discuss bringing The Open back to Turnberry.
But they insist the event cannot return to the course, owned by the controversial figure, unless major logistical issues are addressed.
The venue's Alisha course last hosted The Open in 2009 - before Trump bought the hotel and resort.
Attendances have since soared at golf's marquee event, with 280,000 fans expected at Royal Portrush this week while 120,000 were at Turnberry in 2009.
