DERRY CITY needed injury time goals to see off gritty Athlone Town at the Brandywell yesterday.

A Will Patching penalty settled any worries of an upset for the Premiership giants but the tie ran to the wire before 93rd and 95th minute goals from Brandon Kavanagh and Michael Duffy sealed a 3-0 win.
The first of yesterday’s matches was a five-goal thriller as St Pats CY travelled to Lucan United.
