GORDON ELLIOTT will be hoping stable jockey Jack Kennedy is not far off a return to action as he confronts a growing injury list among his team of regular riders.

"I have had surgery and hopefully should be on the mend now." said Ewing, 18, although he is set to miss the remainder of the season.
