HOW ANDREWS HAS HIS BEES STINGING PREM
January 16, 2026
|Irish Daily Mirror
GUS POYET has buried the hatchet with Keith Andrews and hailed the work that the former Ireland assistant manager has done at Brentford.
Andrews has taken the Premier League by storm in his first senior number one role, after last summer's shock elevation to replace Thomas Frank.
Poyet and Andrews were at loggerheads in 2023 when Greece played Ireland in the Nations League.
The Dubliner, working as Stephen Kenny's number two, suggested that Poyet had tapped up his former Brighton player Gary Dicker for information on Ireland.
Dicker was in Athens when Greece overpowered and outplayed the Boys in Green in the summer of 2023 but Poyet insisted that Andrews had got it all wrong.

When you live in a place long enough, it ceases to be mere bricks & mortar... it invades your bones & becomes part of you
