GREIGHT AT THE TOP FOR LAMPS’ CITY

COVENTRY CITY sealed back-to-back wins for the first time since the end of November to take a big step towards the Premier League.

Championship leaders Coventry had a 10-point gap at the summit less than two months ago, though they have been inconsistent of late.

But they beat promotion rivals MILLWALL 2-1 last night and are now eight points clear of Ipswich.

Third-placed Middlesbrough can close the gap to six at Stoke tonight.

Former Millwall forward Romain Esse opened the scoring for the Sky Blues before Mihailo Ivanovic levelled for the Lions. Millwall arguably had the better of the second half, but couldn't score again with Haji Wright's (below) 78th-minute strike earning the points for Coventry.
