JOHN GOSDEN warned “new boys on the block” Illinois and Candelari they will “have to stay” to beat his pair Trawlerman and Sweet William in tomorrow's Gold Cup.

While Trawlerman and Sweet William finished second and third behind the now-retired Kyprios in the two-mile, four-furlong test 12 months ago, rivals Illinois and Candelari have yet to race beyond two miles.
