Masters champion out of sorts as he slumps to woeful practice round of 81 and admits he must forget Augusta heroics

RORY MCILROY will want to forget the horror practice round of 81 he endured last week ahead of the US Open.
But the tougher task will be to get his unforgettable US Masters win out of his mind altogether.
The 36-year-old endured a roller-coaster final day at the Masters before sealing victory to become just the sixth player in history to achieve a career Grand Slam.
Despite being burdened by the weight of chasing the elusive win at Augusta, the Northern Irishman ended a Major drought that extended all the way back to the 2014 PGA Championship.
