GAA club's €37k auction for brave Feile

A WEST Cork GAA club has raised more than €37,000 in a Christmas fundraiser for the family of Feile O'Sullivan, who lost both of her legs in a farm accident earlier this year.

It's a touching display of community spirit from the locals in Goleen, who put everything from match tickets to free shearing services for 100 ewes up for auction on the night.

The auction was held in Norma's Bar in Goleen, with the venue packed to the rafters as locals poured in to make bids.
