Hatton reveals 'messy' night out with Rahm after being told he made Ryder Cup cut

- BY NEIL MCLEMAN at Wentworth

TYRRELL HATTON is prepared for another “messy” Ryder Cup victory party after revealing that he celebrated making Europe's team by getting plastered.

Hatton is unlikely to sink as many shots at Bethpage Black as he managed in his qualification celebrations with fellow LIV Golf star Jon Rahm.

Dubai Desert Classic champion Hatton finished sixth in the rankings to win an automatic place on Luke Donald's team, despite only playing five qualifying events.

European captain Donald called Hatton last month to confirm the news after LIV Indianapolis, where Rahm had sealed the breakaway series’ individual title.

And the Ryder Cup teammates, who are both teeing up at the BMW PGA at Wentworth this week, then celebrated in outrageous style. Describing Donald's message, the world No.25 said: “That was a very nice phone call to receive - I was over the moon to be honest.
