Dyslexic chef Jamie on new schools drive

JAMIE Oliver has recalled his school struggles after winning the first stage of his campaign to overhaul the system for fellow dyslexics.

The TV chef has gained the backing of Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson as he calls for early screening for the condition within the first two years of pupils starting on their scholastic path.

And he wants teachers to receive proper training on dyslexia, as currently just half a day is allotted to the subject during a three-year course.

Dad-of-five Jamie said he was inspired to bring about change because of his own experience.
