LEITRIM'S decision to concede a walkover and Offaly’s first win over Kildare in a competitive fixture since 2006 crucial win over Kildare were the talking points after the weekend's matches.

The Faithful's 2-17 to 0-17 victory in Tullamore also put them on top of the table on 10 points, with the Lilywhites and Clare on eight behind them.

Ahead by O-11 to 0-10 at half-time, Offaly looked shaky when Kildare moved 0-14 to 0-12 ahead after 48 minutes but goals from Rory Egan and Dylan Hyland (a penalty) saw them home.

Even if Kildare beat Antrim next Sunday and Clare win, Offaly and Kildare should go up.
